It has real physical keys, a built-in display, a dedicated AI key, and a full scripting engine — all in a device that fits in your pocket. It works entirely offline and is built for engineers, developers, and advanced students who need more from their calculator.

Traditional calculators are locked to a fixed set of built-in functions. CalSci is fully programmable — you can write your own scripts, define custom functions, and ask the on-device AI to explain or verify calculations in real time. No phone, no app, no internet. It is a programmable computer that fits in your hand.

CalSci uses a Python-like scripting syntax optimised for the physical keyboard layout. Variables, loops, conditionals, and custom functions are all supported directly on the device. You can also use the full Python SDK on your desktop to build scripts, tools, and automation workflows that communicate with your CalSci over USB.

Yes. CalSci has a built-in Script Manager and an App Store where you can install, manage, and publish apps. You can write scripts directly on the device or build them on your desktop using the Python SDK and push them over USB. Apps can access device APIs, sensors, display, and the AI engine.

The CalSci Simulator is a free desktop app that mirrors your device environment exactly — write and test scripts before pushing them to the real hardware. Firmware updates are delivered wirelessly over OTA (over-the-air) and applied automatically. AI model updates are also pushed via OTA, so your device gets smarter over time without any manual steps.

No. All core features — the AI assistant, scripting engine, graph plotter, and built-in functions — run entirely on-device with no internet required. USB or Wi-Fi is only used when you choose to sync scripts from your desktop or apply a firmware update.
